Cute idea! You can tell that they're both a little shy. I like your sense of environment and you clearly put a lot of effort into structuring the buildings. The facial anatomy of the man is a little awkward and I'd recommend looking up a reference for his facial structure. Also, his head is a bit large in comparison with the rest of his body, make sure that his proportions land him at about seven or eight "heads" high, the typical proportioning for a dude (unless you stylize him more; right now he looks too realistic for this proportioning)
That's very nice of him to use his umbrella to protect her from the rain! Also love that dress pattern!! I get the feeling that your characters are going to kiss any minute now aha! I like your composition and the space you put them in.

Using references will totally help, and you can still stylize them so they seem believable, but in the language you've created.

I think you did a good job with improving your initial sketch. very nice color palette and facial expression. I feel little weird about guy's proportion though. his head is little big for his body, and his upper arm feels little short. also, instead of putting his profile posture, it would more natural if you put quarter view of him from the back since I see a girl in a quarter view. overall, very cute and nice illustration though! I love how you depict the rain!
Great scenery! And emotions! Romantic. Check! It all looks pretty good to me, just some minor perspective problems like the girl's hands and the guy's face. He should blush too, and maybe be more wet? Like, drenched. Overall, very nice, I like the buildings especially.
I greatly appreciate the effort put into the architecture and the old fashioned sense of time it gives off, almost like a vintage feel. My only qualm is that the background could use some more definition because right now, I can't tell whether it's a stormy sky, or a gray mottled wall.

A really cute piece and the creation of environment boarders the characters beautiful! While also a very romantic piece much more successful then your sketch and is a great piece. I think however I feel the palette is to warm for what is going on and the cool environment would contrast nicely with the warm colors of the characters.
I love your creation of the couple's surroundings. I think they work well, although a few angles are confusing. I wish there were more details of the leaves of the tree. The line work for other things are nicely done. This scene shows great care and love from the guy. It would look sweet if the girl was doing something that shows her care and love for him.

I If either, I think it needs to be placed a little bit different because it feels like its way too close to the two figures.
this piece is great! my only issues are with the poses/anatomy of the characters and the perspective. I seems odd like it's hard to distinguish what's in the foreground and the background I think this issue would be resolved if you cropped the window and door on the right and extended the archway.
Very good vertical composition, keeps the eye moving around. The tones of the piece don't seem to match the weather. If it was raining, maybe the atmosphere could've been more dark? You're doing that with the blue background behind the buildings. Maybe you could've added more blues in the shadows. And since the shadows are behind the figures on the ground, maybe you could've added some shadows on the figures themselves, like on their clothes.
This piece is lovely and I'm glad to see the characters' faces selling it! I have two nit-picks about angles. The first is that I'm confused by the shudder on the window in the top right. At that angle it seems it would hang off the wall but the shadow says otherwise. Even more trivial, is the fact that the umbrella is at the wrong angle to sheild her from the rain. These are small things though, this is lovely!
This is a really elegant piece! I like the way you chose your composition. It reads effortlessly like a scene from a movie, and the way the architecture creates, instead of detracts from, the environment, is really wonderful.
I would suggest maybe being a little bolder with the medium? Darkening some spots and adding layers of color would add a lot of depth, and right now some spots seem a little flat.
Now that's really sweet. I LOVE their expressions, SJ. Totally cinematic-- lovely color, nice composition (though maybe just a weeeee bit too much of the building on the right… or too little of it. Its not helping the flatness of the piece bc its such a big piece of color, but its so up front its hard to move past it to get the the couple). If this were being filmed, the camera would be focused on the couple and the building would be blurred… Id use that as the inspiration for color and line and value here and beef up the contrast and visual info in the center and let the rest fall away.
One quick note on the characters-- watch their design. They're a tiny bit too "anime" right now (i know, i know). You'd get a lot more mileage out of this piece if the characters felt a little more original. Mostly its something that happens with the eyes and when more than one figure in a piece feels like the same person but just with different clothes. Also keep an eye on your line work-- play with different weights of line too.
I think it's really romantic scene. I like to see red on umbrella and woman's shoes. I think arch makes the couple focused and beautiful moment. I think the background on design of buildings help the scene more romantic.
Very sweet! Such an emotional, heartwarming scene. I will go ahead and agree with what's above. What's catching my eye first is the sky. I think it's mostly because it has the same texture the entire way down the strip of sky behind them. I definitely catch that it's supposed to read as stormy but I think that a quick wash (if possible) down below going up could help sort out this confusion. The other really very nit-picky thing is that the girl's hands feel a bit awkward. After looking at their placement and trying to replicate it, I think it might be that it's because she's missing thumbs? It's a really minor thing, but something that might help the width of her hands.
