  1. i love these, especially simple and deadly. i don't really have any constructive criticism, they're very well thought out and executed.

  2. The fact they're all in color helps
vast: nice, but what's that thing on the cliff?
simple: I wondering if you should lose the flower: it'd be simpler, but the picture may lose something from that
quiet: this may just be me, but I associate this with the sound of the stalks flowing and rustling
intimate: I don't really get it (why's the door off the hinge?)
    deadly: pretty good
clutter: nice, maybe just some more litter

  3. I really like the colors in Vast, but the area next on the left kind of confuses me, it's hard for me to make out if that's a little building or just a mountain. I love simple, intimate, and deadly. You have a very nice sense of color.

  4. All amazing works! Its hard to me to choose three. But I would say...vast, simple and cluttered. They all fit to the concepts and colors are just awesome.

  5. Really excellent sketches - or preliminaries, as it looks more like. Beautiful color choices!

Vast - This is really working, and really evokes vastness.

Simple - Very sweet, and nicely simple (uncomplicated, so therefore simple). You made some really excellent composition choices.

Quiet - I'm slightly back and forth on this one. I like it, it's gorgeous, but the colors are very very slightly un-quiet. There's a good deal of contrast and bright warm color, so maybe some leveling and cooling down could bring more quiet to the image.

Intimate - I think you made some smart choices with this - looking into a doorway, and telling a story with the details of the image really brings the viewer in face to face with it.

Deadly - Yikes....er, I almost can't respond better than that. Very good job. Too good a job?

Clutter - This is working very well, the use of color really pumps up the clutter, too.

  6. Each piece really catches my eyes! The color work very well with simple and quiet and cluttered ones. I like the mood of it and they all look finished. I don't know how you did this but it looks like a real. Very nice

  8. really beautiful, they look like finished pieces. As everyone has said the colors are lush and the moods pretty accurate. Simple, intimate, and deadly are the most interesting to me. Are those concentration camp showers? The door doesn't quite make sense to me yet but the painting is adept. In simple I would lower the back of the chair and see if I could make the shadows a little more lively. Intimate is great, looks like you spent some quality time on it.

  9. They're all so amazing and beautiful. Great Job! It's really up in the air when it comes to picking three...Definitely Intimate, and deadly, then I'd choose either quiet or intimate. Great job with mood and lighting in all of your pieces.

  10. Deadly is awesome and...very deadly.
The composition of vast is great, love the colors, and the tiny building is sick.

  11. Simple, Intimate, and Cluttered.

I like the restricted palettes in these. Each really feels like its own world.

  12. Holly, these are gorgeous and if you complain about them I will...probably do nothing but you should know that there is no reason to complain! My only concern is with quiet, it looks a little too simple, maybe add a bit more rubble in the field. Great job!

  13. Crap, I really don't have anything to add to these. These are very well done, and it looks like you had a lot of fun both thinking up and executing each piece. I really have no preference. I guess it's up to you.

I really like the variety of colors in cluttered and i like the limited colors that you used in the others. the colors definitely help set different moods

  16. vast and simple and deadly. I really think that simple and deadly make the mark spot on. Something could be added to the vast image to make the field a stronger character. Way to go putting the color down and all.
