  1. There's some awesome detail in the baby carriage, especially the overlapping negative space down by the wheels.
You could try adding some black inside the balloons to give them a little more interest and depth like the carriage has.

  2. I agree the wheels look very cool, I like the whole aspect of the baby carriage. Maybe making the balloons higher and not so close together would help the piece more

  3. I think its really cute concept. The placement of the subject matter in the off center works well. I also wish ot would better to give some volume to the balloons.

  4. I find this piece a little humorous and really enjoy the giraffe. I will say that I wish the background had something in it. Maybe something to indicate location or the parents freaking out.

  5. I agree that the balloons could be given a bit more volume and maybe even place them a bit higher on the right.

  6. I like the concept but I thought the giraffe in the piece is a mommy giraffe who is taking care of the baby because it looks like the giraffe is outside of the carriage. So I think you should give more details like shadows on the carriage.

  7. haha! looks like we are on the same page with out pieces. Nice job with the black and white but like everyone seems to be saying I would add a little more background just so we know where we are, it wouldn't take much.

  8. I think this will look awesome inked and the details you managed to get in work really well with piece. I think there is a good contrast between the black and white spaces. Maybe the balloons could look a little more natural if there was maybe a reflected part or they floated up more

  9. Very good idea. I love the banner that says "It's a boy", nice touch. The one thing that may be hard to translate into ink is the eye. You have the pupil as a black, but the iris as a lighter grey. I know I'm being nit-picky, but I'm just wondering how you'll translate that to ink.

  10. You did a great job defining all the detail in the giraffe and the carriage. I really like the giraffe in particular, the overalls are nice as well. I agree with what people are saying about moving the balloons higher and making them larger to reduce the amount of empty black space.

  11. You did a great job converting all the detail to shapes. It's really well done. My only issue is with the balloons. I don't know how I feel about them being cut off. I think I would like it more if there were just more of them to fill that corner.

  12. I really like this the way it is. can't wait to see the final!

  13. I really like this idea too but I also think the the balloons are a little off, maybe having them above the giraffe?

  14. i think that the concept is really good, but i think that the composition could be altered a little bit. It would be nice if the balloons found their way more towards the top right corner instead of leading off the page. I think your lights and darks are well handled too

  15. i think this piece is nicely thought out, the composition works well and your shapes are organic and interesting. good job. the only thing that's bothering me a bit is the t shirt.

  16. It's impressive the amount of detail you managed to work into that carriage with some relatively simple shapes. I think in terms of concept, execution, and clarity you succeeded across the board.

  17. The baby carriage has a great silhouette. I'd like perhaps for you to include a bit more of it.

The style you're working in is really cool, especially the silhouettes.

    Good stuff.

  18. yep! Balloons higher, fuller, more transparent.

giraffe boy's neck gets a little lost on the backside (the top side)-- maybe just a wee bit more white to set it off from the background.

    nice. *dana

  19. Bizarre, simple, ridiculous, in short, fantastic! I would add more space above and to the right and left - I'm uncomfortable with that elbow being cut off because there's no motion from that side of the image, so it seems like the giraffe boy should just be sitting up, so I'd rather see his whole figure. Not centered, I like him on the left where he is, but just fully there.
