Positive/ Negative

By, Bryant Molloy.

I plan on making the "barf" more layered after seeing it on the computer..

  1. I love the detail in that eyeball! give a suggestion of background and make that spew bolder.
I don't understand the text. Is it necessary? I feel like the piece alone is pretty self explanatory unless this is like a mock up advertisement for Prehistoric Vomit or something. Nether the less with the inclusion of text I think there needs to be more consideration for it. Spacing, line quality, and placement are all really important and can really make a piece look professional.

  2. Dude, I'd just make the lettering black to balance the white space, and take out the T-rex hand cause it's in a bad spot.I love his expression.

  3. i second what is said about the text. I feel like maybe you should really fill in the negative space with it if you're going to go for it, like 60s band posters

  4. i'd suggest blackening the spew, and making the text fit the space more. i think the vomit and the text need to work together in this piece.

  5. I totally agree with the comment above. It would work better if the vomit and the text work together, and make them black.
also, you could change the typography of the text, that sure would work.

  6. The detail in the dinosaur, especially the eye, is great! If you found the same kind of enjoyment working in the vomit as you did there, it could look really great. Right now the squiggles are all relatively uniform and it looks a little like fire.
If you're going for hand lettering, the text could be more integrated into the space around the dinosaur, like everyone else has said, but I don't even think it's necessary to include in the piece.

  7. The t-rex looks great especially that eye. I don't like the text. I think if you take out the text and add to the barf (as you intend to) it will be done.

  8. I really like how you did the spine and the texture on the bottom of the dinosaur. I don't have much to say that everyone hasn't already said... I kinda like the little t-rex arm squished on the side but it's a little awkward - if you make it stick out a little more could be an element that makes the whole piece flow a little better. Awesome dinosaur!
