B/M/E Update

The black and white images are the sketches, and the watercolor final is about 90% of the way done! My story is A Perfect Day for Bananafish by JD Salinger. The scan didn't come out well at all; it looks better in person, I swear!

  1. Lily-- the watercolor looks lovely! I still think the story is unclear/ the pacing isn't helping to establish who the kid and the man are or what the relationship is between them and the dead woman. There's nice mystery to the images, but remember than every detail you put in an illustration says as much as what you dont put in... so in the first image, I wonder why she is wearing shades, what the nail polish (?) and the little piece of paper (?) are all about. I wonder if the woman in the 3rd image is the same as in the 1st and who the other arm belongs to. These are fun questions to ponder, but dont help to clarify your narrative any. What other clues can you give the viewer?
