Editorial sketch

  1. Overall nice feel as a drawing, but as an illustration the biggest issue here is that it doesn't feel entirely relevant to the Bars and Stripes panel. The kneeling figure in the foreground appears to be Susan Burton, the woman who spoke at the panel. Aside from that and that jail setting, the act of Ms. Burton stealing keys from the sleeping prison guard feels a bit ham-fisted in regards to the work she does to help those becoming marginalized in the prison system. I would like to see you do one of two things: get rid of the foreground figures and zoom in to the people behind bars OR find a way to make the frontmost leaning figure interact with the guard in a way that better indicates her relationship to the American prison system.
