The concept here is clear enough, if a bit unimaginative, but the eyes coming out of the darkness of the background are really wonderful. It's tough to tell what kind of expression the figure is making; clarifying his expression into one of bemusement or discomfort would really enhance this image and could result in a nicely poignant illustration. The hands need some work. Have a friend grip the handle of a broom to study how a hand might look in this scenario.
