These all have a really nice feel to them. I kind of wish you labeled each one as to which prompt they each fit. Aside from that, they all look fantastic. It'll be interesting to see how you do this in color.
I love the technique you are using! I don't find the first and third one very readable though where the others are very lovely, maybe fix those up? Good job!
I agree tat the first and third are a little unclear, but the others are readable and each have a unique feel. my favorites are the second, fourth and fifth, but i am not sure which word they respond to so it would help to have the labels just to be sure
I really love working with ink! They all seems poetic in a way and make their own mood well. I wish you have put label on each ones. Overall really nice job with composition and value!
number 2 . number 5. number 6. They are the ones that jive for me. Are you going to be doing them in ink wash for the final? Because if you were, then I would approve. Only thing is that the last one could use pure black somewhere.
great atmosphere but I think, while the washes are lovely, clarity sometimes suffers. while you did not label them I am fairly certain I can identify most, which is a good sign, but I have no idea what is going on in the top picture. I like the stairs, the ominous looking cock-eyed door, and the back yard with chair.good luck.
I really love the energy in all of these. It's still a little confusing as to which one is which though. 2nd, 5th, and 6th are my favorites. I especially like the door, its really creepy (id guess it either be deadly or quiet...)Good job.
are htese all done in ink wash? i like the effect the materials have on the images.your handling of the medium is also really good, it looks like you have a lot of control with it. I like the 2nd 3rd and 4th the most i think. they communicate well and have a very successful composition. are you going to put color in these? it would be interesting to see what colors you would pick.
first two and last one is my favorite. I like a line and texture you created on the first two images, and the ink wash on the last one is very cool. I hope you to use watercolor for final color ones.

ReplyDeletereally wish these were labeled
ReplyDeletemy three favorites are the second, fourth, and last
Personally, I like the second, fourth and fifth ones. I'm not sure which ones they are but I think they have the most character.

ReplyDeleteIm not sure about what word some of them are, but I agree that the way you're rendering these is great.
ReplyDeleteThe last one feels like quiet or simple, and I think it would work well for either of those.
I like the composition and tilted perspective in the second one.
The chair one is detailed and clear and I love the dark black for the chair frame.
I'm a bit confused about the 1st and 4th images.
These are all very nice drawings, but a bit unclear, and I'm not able to tell what your intentions for each of them are yet.
