Pre-Ink Version of Article Illustration

This is my illustration with the marks and shading, I would like some feedback on it. I plan to do both ink wash and pen markings. The image is a little fuzzy around the middle because my scanner isn't that big and I had to piece it together in photoshop.

illustration criticism

Hey here's my draft for the editorial illustration project. It should be darker but my scanner sucks so please keep that in mind. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

Btw I had the Carrollton Ridge article to put this in context.

stuff!

So I had an idea on the way home:

Think, the over the top-ness of "Devil May Cry" meets "Kingdom of Heaven's" theology (and for good measure...throw some "Assassin's Creed" in there, too because the fighting is so good).

y/n?

anyway here is the art:

James did excellent job on her(color) and mine was inked.

"MASON AD"

Mason Phone - Mason is not alone, but he enjoys playing cellphone (he might be hungry so that he is calling for Dana)

"Space as Character: DEADLY"

:/ I was going to upload "the sculpey: OBAMA", but I couldn't find my camera.( stress on... :< ) However, I will upload it soon.

"Sell the dog" assignment: Mason.
I chose pizza to advertise because of its simplicity and applicability as a article in any magazine. I wanted to make visible the Bacon in the Pizza. Mason-bacon seemed realistic and catchy if there ever was such an advertisement.
Here is the rendered version with the photo-shopped Text spelling "Mason" in slabs of Bacon, pineapples, pepperoni and Mushrooms.
The Reoccurring "Dripper"

Here is my first rendition of my super hero, his name is "Dripper"

Here I used the Dripper again as a character to complement a "Simple" space.
In this last version I applied gray tones to create depth to clarify and amplify the intended mood.
